The BASIS Assets and Market Access Collaborative Research Support Program (AMA CRSP) is a virtual institute comprised of researchers from around the globe that operates in support of USAID's Bureau of Economic Growth, Agriculture and Trade. The AMA CRSP aims to improve the agricultural competitiveness and quality of life of the rural poor in the developing world through policy-relevant research that is dedicated to improving access to resources and enhancing the operation of markets. The AMA CRSP aims to identify pathways out of rural poverty through research projects focusing on the following five themes:

The AMA CRSP aims to achieve impact through policy integration and outreach, collaboration and capacity building, and support of USAID objectives and initiatives. Our researchers are also interested in rigorous impact evaluation of development programs and policy interventions.
