Quantitative Impact Evaluation: MCC-MCA Nicaragua Compact

Research Context
The Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) is working with MCA-Nicaragua to implement at $175 million compact to support economic growth through property regularization, infrastructure improvement and rural business development. The AMA CRSP was contract to aid in the impact evaluation to assess the extent to which the income of the beneficiaries was increased as a result of the program. The projects being analyzed include the benefits of road upgrading, and the benefit to both rural and urban households as a result of property regularization. AMA CRSP researchers have helped develop the methodology for the impact evaluation, including survey design, and have been actively involved in sampling and oversight of data collection.
